UPCOMING at City Life

Looking for a way to serve? Join us on Saturday, May 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to help us clean up the church. This monthly cleaning is a great way for all ages to get involved at City Life. Write “second Saturday” on a Communication Card or talk with Sue if you plan to attend.

Our next Membership classes will be May 13, May 20, and May 27 in the evenings. Write “membership” on a Communication Card for more details, or talk to Pastor Christy to determine if membership is right for you.

We will serve a potluck style breakfast before the first service for any who would like to participate (starting at 8:30 a.m.). If you’d like to contribute to the meal, please sign up at the Welcome table in the Lobby. Food contributions must be dropped off by 8:15 a.m. that morning, they can also be brought to the church during office hours Thursday to be put in the fridge (11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).

The next Mel Trotter Chapel partnership led by City Life is on Thursday, May 29. We are looking for a few volunteers to bring a homemade treat for chapel guests and to help facilitate. Please sign up in the lobby if you are able to provide a treat or help with chapel this month.

The Local Church Conference (LCC) is our annual business meeting. In this meeting, church members elect certain positions, receive important reports, and hear important updates. All City Life regular attendees are encouraged to attend, and members are especially encouraged to be present. Members have “a voice and a vote,” but we like regular attendees to be present as well.
This year the LCC will be held in two parts.

• Sun, May 18 | Special Session of the LCC after the 11:00 a.m. service. This SHORT (15 min or less) special session will be held to specifically vote on delegates to the Great Lakes Regional Conference (June 7). This is the only business we will conduct at this special session.
• Sun, June 22 | LCC at 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. This will be our regular LCC in which we complete the remainder of the voting, receive reports, and look to next year! We’ll be sharing dinner together too. Please plan to be part of this important time together.

Our transportation team is looking for a few more drivers! This would be a great way to get involved with a once-a-month commitment. It is also a great way to connect with other City Lifers while providing a vital service! Please write “Transportation” on your communication card and someone will contact you with further details!

Our Monday morning shower ministry is seeking volunteers to join our team! If you’re looking for a meaningful way to connect with and impact City Life’s first neighbors, join us on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or write “shower ministry” on a Communication card to connect with someone for more details!

The City Life van picks up guests for the 9:15 a.m. service each Sunday. Please be outside 5 minutes prior to the listed pick-up time. The schedule is as follows. All times are approximate.
